Answer
Reserve Inlet-area charter boats or shared offshore seats early for summer weekends and tournament weeks—full-day canyon runs need calm weather windows. Confirm departure time (often predawn), maximum anglers, fillet policy, and what happens if seas cancel. Reputable captains carry federal permits when targeting highly migratory species.
