Plan your trip
Answer a few questions, pin where you are staying, then browse with the trip bar. Each bar button opens its own screen — nothing stacks on top of what you were reading.
When planning is on, the trip bar’s Guide me (we ask; you choose) and Your trip each open a clear screen. Everything stays in this browser. Official rules still live on the Town site and official portals.
Your planning is on
Use the trip bar while you browse. Heart restaurants, events, articles, and F.A.Q. answers — then check Your trip so far for the full picture.
Are you in Ocean City right now?
We’ll tailor restaurant, shopping, and activity links around where you are staying—or where you are standing.
Where should we center your plans?
Closest lists use straight-line distance in your browser. We do not send your location to our servers.

How Plan your trip works
You’re set up. Here’s what happens next as you browse the site.
- Your stay pin travels with you. Closest dining and “near me” tools can sort around where you’re staying (or standing), in your browser only.
- Heart the keepers. On restaurants, events, articles, and F.A.Q. answers, tap the heart to build your trip list. We do not ask you to “save” every planning page.
- Never dead-end. Use Back when you go deep, Keep planning for a fresh lane you have not explored yet, and Guide me when you want us to ask what to plan next.
- Optional travel dates help prioritize seasonal tips and events. Skip if you’re still flexible. Everything stays on this device—no account required.
When will you be here? (optional)
Add dates if you want event and seasonal guidance tuned to your visit.
What do you want to explore?
Open a topic, then heart keepers on restaurant, event, article, or F.A.Q. detail pages — not on the hub itself.

Trip planning FAQs
- How far in advance should I plan dining for a summer week in Ocean City?
- Lock celebration nights and popular seafood or waterfront tables as early as the venue allows; keep flexible categories (pizza, deli, takeout) for nights when waits surprise you. Cross-check the events calendar—rally and holiday weekends reshape parking and standby times.
- Does downtown “feel close” to uptown when I’m booking activities?
- The island is one long road, but beach traffic and event detours can turn “ten minutes on the map” into much longer. Anchor plans by neighborhood—downtown, midtown, uptown—and batch errands instead of bouncing end to end at rush hour.
- What should first-time visitors save in their phones before arrival?
- Lodging address, official contacts you trust for beach or pier rules, and the short list of restaurant numbers you actually intend to call—plus 911 for emergencies. Use our numbers-to-know page as a mindset, then verify lines for your exact dates.
- Do you store my GPS or stay address on your servers?
- No. Location sorting and your trip plan (stay pin, optional dates, and hearted items) stay in your browser on this device. We do not send GPS or typed addresses to our servers. Use Pause to hide the trip bar, or Reset trip (trip bar, Your trip, Guide me, or itinerary) to wipe the plan. Closing a tab alone does not erase a saved trip until you reset it.
- What should I heart vs just browse?
- Heart restaurants, events, articles, and F.A.Q. answers you want on your trip list. Hub pages (food & drink, shopping, things to do) are for browsing — use Guide me (we ask a planning question; you pick the answer) when you need a next move, then heart keepers on the detail pages.
- How do I save or email my itinerary when I’m done planning?
- Open Finish & save itinerary (trip bar or Your trip). That page organizes your hearted stops as cards with short descriptions, addresses, and phone numbers when available. Email opens your mail app; you can also Print / Save as PDF, download HTML, share on Facebook, copy a share link for a friend, or add more from suggested lanes you have not explored yet.
After you pin a stay, open food & drink, lodging, and things to do with that neighborhood in mind. Batch errands by block instead of bouncing downtown to the north end at rush hour.
