Milky Way & Moonrise Over Assateague
Short night-sky timelapse over Assateague Island—dark skies south of Ocean City.
About this Ocean City video
Milky Way & Moonrise Over Assateague — A short Vimeo night-sky timelapse over Assateague Island, just south of Ocean City, Maryland.
Assateague’s darker skies are a favorite contrast to the lit Boardwalk corridor. Use this clip as mood-setting context for a sunset/evening nature stop—then confirm park hours, camping rules, and seasonal access before you go.
Always cross-check current hours, event dates, and conditions. Summer traffic, heat, and sellouts are real; shoulder seasons often feel easier.
