I’m Owen Blake. Ocean City born-and-around. I’ve worked enough event weekends—Air Show, fireworks weeks, the Saturdays when Coastal Highway achieves sentience—to develop a sixth sense for when the island is about to become a parking lot with dreams.

Why Ocean City

I love this town when it’s ours in the shoulder seasons and when visitors treat it like a place, not a set. I love a festival that still feels fun after you’ve worked three doubles. I love the neighbor energy—people who know which side street saves twenty minutes, people who pick up trash because they live here tomorrow.

What I dislike: trash after fireworks. People who block corners “for one second” while a hundred folks stack up behind them. Dinner plans that assume the universe will clear a table at 7:15 on Air Show Saturday—it won’t. Gridlock isn’t a personality trait. It’s a predictable outcome when everyone chooses the same hour without a map.

I also dislike locals-vs-tourists nonsense. You’re welcome here. Just don’t treat the highway like it owes you an express lane because you’re on vacation.

Who I am

Event staff / bartender (seasonal). Crowd tactician by necessity. I’ve seen what happens when ten thousand people have the same brilliant idea at once. My posts are timelines, meet-up logic, and the kind of dinner backup that sounds boring until you’re hungry and stuck.

Ocean City is home. That means I want you to enjoy it without breaking it—and without breaking yourself on the way to dinner.
